Praise God! Caitlin has finally arrived in Rome after an extremely long night of traveling. She met up with Amanda at Logan and made it through security with no problems. That seemed to be the end of the "easy traveling"! Her flight was delayed...delayed again...then cancelled. She was able to get on a SwissAir flight leaving late last night from Boston to Zurich and catch a connecting flight to Rome. She finally left Boston at 10:30 pm...only 6 hours late. I am sure this brought back many memories from the missions trip to Romania.
It's a good thing Amanda brought grinders from her family's restaurant...since she last ate at noontime. And of course neither her or Amanda were traveling with much US currency..nor did they have a domestic cell phone. (This is a true recipe for motherly stress)
She arrived in Rome around 8:30 am (EST)...that's 2:30 pm in Rome...and only 1 of her 2 suitcases got lost (again...another Romania memory) At least, her large bag with all her clothes arrived.
After meeting up with other Temple Rome passengers, she made her way to her apartment...dropped her bag and had to leave right away to get to a Welcoming Pizza Party at school. She just got back from eating and is trying to settle in for the night and get some good sleep.
She promises to post pictures soon.
Pray for a good night sleep for her,,,for her lost luggage...and for a successful semester in Rome.
